Having used the Charger drysuit for many years, stepping into the Fusion felt like a noticeable yet familiar upgrade.
The colour options are excellent. Having the choice between Nookie Red and the new vibrant Green was a real bonus, and I opted for the Green, which certainly stands out from the crowd.
The design and fit are superb. The fabric feels tough and durable without being heavy, and the suit is reinforced in all the right areas. It inspires confidence both on and off the water.
Movement is excellent, with plenty of freedom through the shoulders and arms, while the cut provides ample room for both seated paddling and kneeling activities. The double waist system is bombproof, with the extreme spraydeck fitting securely inside. Once a PFD is on, the rear-entry zip is completely unobtrusive.
The large entry zip operates smoothly and is easy to manage solo at either end of the day. I often drive to the river wearing the suit and, after a full day on the water, drive home in the same thermal base layers, remaining perfectly dry throughout.
The integrated socks fit comfortably inside both trainers and canyon boots, with no annoying folds or pressure points.
Overall, the Fusion is a well-thought-out, highly capable drysuit that combines comfort, durability, and practicality. For anyone looking for a premium drysuit that performs exceptionally well across a range of paddling environments, it is an easy recommendation.
