Odei has dedicated his life to kayak surfing, competing at the highest level and traveling the world in search of perfect waves. He has participated in every Kayaksurf World Championship since Australia 2013, and even earlier, he was already soaking in the atmosphere at Bakio 2007 and Portugal 2009. His favourite place to surf: the right-handers of Gran Canaria though he’s also ridden waves in Indonesia, Morocco, and Portugal.

Currently, Odei is the coach of the kayaksurf team at Real Club Náutico San Sebastián, training the next generation of kayak surfers. Beyond coaching, he’s also contributed to the sport’s technical development: together with Jem and Chris Hobson, he co-developed the Prodigy model for Hobson Kayaks, a top-tier design used in competition. He’s also an active member of the World Surf Kayak Association (WSKA), working to promote the sport internationally.

Whether he’s competing, coaching or designing performance crafts, Odei is driven by the same passion: to enjoy and share the spirit of surf in all its forms.
